Presentation

Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
ct

Polypoid enhancing mass is present within the gallbladder arising from superoposterior wall. There is no sign of local invasion to adjacent structures. 

Case Discussion

Imaging findings and the subsequent histology are in keeping with gallbladder carcinoma.
Gallbladder adenocarcinomas present in one of three morphologies: intraluminal mass, diffuse mural thickening, and mass replacing the gallbladder (most common presentation).
