Case contributed by Dr Rahmoun Fateh

66 years-old man who presented with general decline in health & epigastric heaviness (Homme de 66 ans présente une altération de l'état général avec sensation de pesanteur au niveau de la région épigastrique)

Patient Data

Age: 66
Gender: Male

CT-scan phase with oral contrast (without IV contrast) shows a voluminous subtraction image at the region of the fundus, compatible with an intra-luminal mass. This mass is hypodense and heteregeneous. Moreover, there is a triangular hypodensity involving the upper pole of the spleen.

Portal phase CT-scan shows faint enhancement of the mass previously describe. There is perigastric fat infiltration near the mass which extends to the pancreatic tail. There is splenic artery thrombosis secondary to this infiltration of the mass, which explains the triangular splenic hypodensity.
