Circumferential mural thickening in the body of the stomach that demonstrates enhancement is noted. Multiple lymphadenopathy was also observed in the gastro-hepatic ligament.

Case Discussion

This case exemplifies a gastric cancer.

Notice the value of water in the use of imaging the stomach with CT.  It both distends the stomach and provides a negative contrast agent, assisting in exposing abnormalities of the stomach wall.

Endoscopy remains the gold standard investigation in examining the stomach.
