Gastric wall fatty infiltration

Thickening of the gastric wall with diffuse submucosal fatty infiltration (mean density = -57 HU).
Minimal bilateral pleural effusion is noted as well as a hiatal hernia.

Gastric wall fatty infiltration refers to an appearance seen on CT of the abdomen which shows thickening of the gastric wall due to submucosal fatty infiltration. It is more commonly seen in asymptomatic patients, although it can be seen in the context of Crohn disease.
