Germinal matrix hemorrhage (grade III)

Germinal matrix hemorrhage mostly in the right side, extending to the somehow dilated ventricular system.
Associated finding is scalp hematoma over right parietal bone and evidence of lambdoid suture overlapping.
Case Discussion
Germinal matrix hemorrhage occurs in premature infants when the germinal matrix is present. It can be classified from grade 1 to grade 4. The highest the grade of hemorrhage, the worst the prognosis.
