Patient Data

Age: 1 year
Gender: Male
ct

Widening of the extra-axial CSF space at right frontal convexity with an adjacent oval 2.3 x 1.3 cm cyst and the overlying skull vault showing a large bony defect representing  a diastatic growing fracture. This extends from the right frontal bone through he coronal suture obliquely along the right parietal skull vault and stops short of the right lambdoid suture.

A focal area of early gliosis is seen at right parieto-temporal convexity.

Case Discussion

CT features in a follow up case of trauma are consistent with growing fracture of the right parietal skull vault with an associated small leptomeningeal cyst at right frontal convexity.
