Dysfunctional uterine bleeding underwent a routine abdomen - pelvic sonography. There was an incidental liver lesion in right lobe. MRI of the liver was performed to further evaluate.
Patient Data
Note: This case has been tagged as "legacy" as it no longer meets image preparation and/or other case publication guidelines.
A lobulated T2 hyperintense lesion in the right lobe segments VI and VII. The lesion remains strongly T2 hyperintense on the long TE T2W images. The dynamic contrast-enhanced images reveal initial nodular peripheral enhancement with slow centripetal filling.
Case Discussion
MRI reveals a lobullated T2 hyperintense lesion in the right lobe segments VI and VII. The lesion remains strongly T2 hyperintense on the long TE T2W images. The dynamic contrast enhanced images reveal initial nodular peripheral enhancement with slow centripetal filling. Appearances are typical of a hepatic hemangioma.
The lesion was hypo to isoechoic on US.
