A large multi-septated cystic lesion in segment IV/V liver representing active hydatid cyst with multiple daughter cysts (stage CE 2)

6 mth FU post Rx

ultrasound

A large heterogeneous cystic lesion in segment IV/V of the liver showing mixed hypo and hyperechoic intracystic component (ball of wool sign). Note the previously seen daughter cysts have resolved. This represents an inactive stage of hydatid cyst (stage CE 4).
