Presentation

Abdominal pain and mass feeling.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female
ct

A 105×70×90mm thick walled multi-vesicular cystic lesion is present at liver; without calcification or enhancing solid component. 
Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.

Case Discussion

Large hepatic cystic lesion; consistent with hydatid cyst, with daughter cysts of varying sizes that seen predominantly in the periphery of the giant mother cyst. The collapsed membranes are also observed within the cyst.
