Presentation

Right hypochondrial swelling and respiratory distress.

Patient Data

Age: 2 years

A huge hepatic mass is seen consuming most of the right hepatic parenchyma and bulging inferiorly into the abdominal cavity. It is showing heterogeneous appearance being of multilocular dominant cystic architecture with the cystic components having water attenuation. The peripheral solid portions and thick inbetween septae show heterogeneous enhancement. The appearance of cystic and solid portions give a swiss cheese-like appearance.

A complex mixed cystic and solid hepatic mass with dominant cystic components.

Hepatic lobectomy was performed showing a mesenchymal hamartoma.
