Digital imaging shows homogeneously dense breasts with a residual glandularity >90%.

Mammographic breast composition:

  • A: involuted breast is almost entirely fat (1-24% residual glandularity)
  • B: scattered fibroglandular densities (25-50%)
  • C: heterogeneously dense breast tissue (51-75%)
  • D: extremely dense (>75% glandularity)
