Case contributed by Frank Gaillard
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Incidental finding on CT

Patient Data

Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Multiple small hypodense lesions scattered at the right hepatic lobe, the largest is at segment VII showing peripheral interrupted beaded enhancement on portovenous phase, suggestive of multiple hepatic hemangiomas.

A small hyperdense renal cyst is noted at the upper pole of the left kidney.

Multiple bilateral other renal simple cortical cysts are noted.

Sutures of left hepatectomy and cholecystectomy clips are noted.

Multiple hepatic lesions with bright signal on T2, progressive fill-in on post-contrast sequences, largest at segment VII, suggestive of multiple liver hemangiomas.

Multiple bilateral renal simple cortical cysts.

Left upper pole cyst demonstrates no post-contrast enhancement on MRI and no signal drop out in T1-out-of-phase sequence and very low signal on T2 fat sat consistent with blood products.

Homogeneous hyperechoic hepatic lesions, suggestive of hepatic hemangiomas.

Left upper lobe echogenic lesion is noted.

Other multiple bilateral renal simple cortical cysts are noted.

Case Discussion

Left sided upper pole hyperdense renal cyst on CT demonstrates no contrast enhancement on MRI, with low T2 signal and no signal drop on T1-out-of-phase sequence consistent with blood products.

Incidental segment VII liver hemangioma demonstrating gradual filling in on post-contrast images.
