Hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage

Presentation

Two days of high blood pressure and right sided weakness.

Patient Data

Age: 64 years
Gender: Female

Axial MRI images demonstrates T2 isointense and FLAIR hyperintense lesion on left occipital region with intraventricular extension.

One day later

On MRI images the next day there is T2 and FLAIR hypointense lesion on left occipital region with intraventricular extension.

Case Discussion

These MRI findings are due to acute intracerebral hemorrhage. Because of referring physicians doubt for hemorrhagic tumor MRI was repeated the next day.
