Hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy

Thick, solid, wavy periosteal reaction is noted adjacent to the distal femurs bilaterally. Some periosteal reaction was noted adjacent to the proximal tibias and fibulas bilaterally.
These findings would be consistent with hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy.

This patient has a history of lung cancer. It is one of the commonest primary malignancies to be associated with HPOA.
