PET-CT showing a lung nodule which is mildly metabolically and a distal esophageal lesion which is focally metabolically active.
Case Discussion
CT-guided lung biopsy was negative for cancer.
A T1 adenocarcinoma of the esophagus was diagnosed by upper endoscopy. The patient consequently underwent chemoradiation therapy with a good metabolic response. He is now scheduled for Ivor Lewis esophagectomy.
