Infrapatellar plica injury

Presentation

Young soccer player presents with infrapatellar knee pain, for last 2 months

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
mri

Study showed, altered signal along infrapatellar plica, within Hoffa's fat pad, with fluid anterior to anterior cruciate ligament. Laxity of torn infrapatellar plica can also be seen. Magnified image shows infrapatellar plica tear.

Synovial plica can be seen nicely (please see traced line image for comparison).
