At the site of pain pointed by patient, there is a full thickness fluid cleft involving internal oblique muscle. Defect size is about 18 x 18 mm. Overlying external oblique muscle, subcutaneous fat and underlying transversus abdominis muscle show normal echopattern.
There is no intra-peritoneal free fluid.
Case Discussion
Findings suggest post-traumatic internal oblique muscle tear.
