Recurrent abdominal discomfort.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The small intestine is predominantly in the right hemi-abdomen while the colon, including the ileocecal junction and ascending colon, is seen on the left indicative of intestinal non-rotation.

There is no sign of intestinal obstruction at the time of examination. 

Case Discussion

This is a case of intestinal nonrotation, which is a congenital anomaly of the intestines wherein the small intestine is located in the right side of the abdomen and the colon and cecum on the left side. Intestinal nonrotation is often an incidental finding in adults during routine examination and is considered a form of intestinal malrotation.
