Case Discussion

Ishiofemoral impingement is secondary to reduced space between the lesser trochanter and ischial tuberosity with resultant compression of quadratus femoris muscle belly, manifesting as edema on MRI. In long standing cases, there is atrophy of the muscle belly. It can present as atypical groin pain or muscle snapping.
