Jefferson fracture

Fractures involving the left-sided anterior and posterior arches of the C1 vertebra consistent with Jefferson fracture noted. A further fracture involves the left transverse process of C1 and distorts the left-sided foramen transversarium.
Minor lateral displacement of the lateral masses of C1 in relation to C2.
Significant prevertebral soft tissue swelling is present superiorly. No further cervical fractures identified. Normal cervical alignment.
