Presentation

Pain and swelling over foot since 6 months

Patient Data

Age: 7 years
Gender: Male
mri

There is abnormal shape of the navicular bone, loss of height and volume, with central hyperintensity.

also noted hyperintensity marrow edema of the adjacent bones talus and medial cuniform.

Mild muscular edema in medial aspect and deep to plantar fascia of foot.

Case Discussion

Loss of volume and thinning of navicular bone suggestive of osteonecrosis of navicular bone (Kohler disease).
