Presentation

Imaged at 10 days following an acute reduction of conscious level. Background of hypertension.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Late subacute hematoma (bright on T1WI and t2WI, with hypointense rim on T2* GRE and central diffusion restriction) in the right basal ganglia.

Case Discussion

Late subacute bleeding can be seen as bright on both T1WI and T2WI.
