Intense radiotracer uptake around the left temporomandibular joint corresponds to CT changes of dense sclerosis on both sides of the joint with mandibular condyle and neck expansion, loss of joint space and bone remodeling, destruction and deformity.

Unfortunately, there were no other available images. It was not understood why the nuclear study was the first line of imaging.
