Lingular consolidation and follow up resolution

Presentation

Persistent cough.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Partial effacement of the left heart border due to consolidation in the lingula.

Heart size normal. Right lung clear.

8 weeks later

x-ray

The left heart border silhouette is normal. The lingular consolidation has resolved.  Both lungs are now clear.
