Presentation

Swelling in nape of neck - Few yrs. Recent Mild pain locally.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Swelling in cervico-dorsal region.

Changes of degenerative disease of cervical spine.

ultrasound

An encapsulated compressible lesion is identified in subcutaneous plane.  It is iso-echoic to deeper muscle without cystic changes / calcification. Internal incomplete echogenic lines are noted in the lesion.  Few flow signals are seen in periphery and center of the lesion.

Case Discussion

Findings favor subcutaneous lipoma of nape of neck (dorsocervical fat pad).
