Radiograph of the pelvis shows a focal lucency along the inner margin of the femoral neck. The lucency is oriented perpendicular to the cortex, and does not span the entire cross-section of the femoral neck (as a typical fracture would). There is also minimal sclerosis associated with the lesion (unlike a typical stress fracture).
