Presentation

Lumbar pain from three months ago.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Marked canal stenosis and derangement of the nerve roots are seen at the L4 level in the background of a 15*40 mm iso-signal extradural infiltrative mass lesion with invasion to the posterior elements of L4 vertebrae (including pedicle, lamina, spinous process and the posterior third portion of the vertebral body).

Case Discussion

Pathology report:

Sections show a neoplastic tissue heavily infiltrated by lymphoplasmocyte. The neoplasm tissue composed of cells with round to oval nuclei, eosinophilic cytoplasm, and indistinct cytoplasmic rim.

Diagnosis: Lymphoplasmocyte-rich meningioma.
