Presentation

Right shoulder abduction weakness. Consulted an orthopedic surgeon. O/E - Nodules in axilla. Referred for shoulder radiograph and ultrasound. ultrasound of axillary nodules.

Patient Data

Age: 45 yrs
Gender: Male

Shoulder XR & US were normal. Axillary nodules US images are attached below.

Multiple axillary nodes with necrosis. Loss of fatty hilum and loss of hilar type - central vascularity is noted in nodes.

A solid hypoechoic subareolar mass is noted in breast. A tiny suspicious calcification focus is noted.

Case Discussion

Main complaint by patient was shoulder abduction weakness for 6 wks or so.

He noticed an axillary swelling about 3 weeks prior. 

At the end of ultrasound for nodes, he mentioned about a smaller nodule in breast for 1 week.

FNAC - breast lesion - ductal carcinoma.
