Meningioma

Case contributed by Abdallah Alqudah
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Middle age female patient with a severe headache.

Patient Data

Gender: Female
mri

There is a well-defined extra axial and dural based mass lesion, seen in the left frontal region which shows hypointense T1, slightly hyperintense T2 signal and mild diffusion restriction, with solid internal enhancement and enhancing dural tail, causing significant mass effect on the underlying brain tissue with shift of midline structures to the right side, along with impingement of the left lateral ventricle.

Case Discussion

The diagnosis of meningioma on contrast-enhanced MRI is highly suggested in this case with the characteristic imaging findings. This large mass causes midline shift.
