Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Female

CT shows right frontal extra-axial mass with dural implantation base. Displaces the adjacent parenchyma in frontal position,  The adjacent calvaria presents a permeative aspect with lytic areas and expansion of the diploe. Brainstem and cerebellum without focal lesions. Basal subarachnoid cisterns normal range. Observed  right lateral ventricle deformity. III and IV of normal volume. No focal parenchymal lesions is observed.

MRI revealed a mass showing intense extra-axial enhancement following the use of intravenous contrast with "dural tail", periosteal reaction and infiltration of the diploe and adjacent frontoparietal soft tissue.

Incidental note is made of a small cavernous malformation in the white matter just lateral to the trigone of the left lateral ventricle.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with a meningioma with extension into the frontal bone.
