Meningioma - craniovertebral junction

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Had previous surgery for ependymoma 12 years back. Now presenting with dementia and quadriparesis.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Posterior aspect of foramen magnum extra-axial mass lesion, demonstrated intermediate signal on T1 and T2 weighted acquisitions. This lesion also demonstrated a strong enhancement in the post-contrasted acquisition.

Case Discussion

MRI reveals an Extraxial tumor indenting the corticomedullary junction along the posterior aspect.

Final Diagnosis: Meningioma
