Presentation
Asymptomatic known case of right testicular teratoma presented for post operative follow up imaging after 3 months.
Patient Data
A well defined, heterogeneous, lobulated, conglomerate solid lymph node masses are seen in the retroperitoneum in typical pericaval and aortocaval locations. These depict heterogeneous enhancement, areas of necrosis and multiple coarse calcifications within. Imaging features represent lymph nodal metastatic testicular teratoma.
Case Discussion
Testicular teratoma metastases by hematogenous and lymphatic routes and lymphatics ascend along the testicular arteries so that right testicular teratoma typically involves precaval, aortocaval, retrocaval and right paracaval nodes. In this case (right testicular teratoma) precaval, right paracaval and aortocaval groups of lymphatics are involved.
