Miliary metastases from papillary thyroid cancer

Presentation

Patient known case of papillary thyroid carcinoma status post resection.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

X-ray shows innumerable bilateral nodular opacities, with diffuse distribution, predominantly in the mid and lower zones.

Innumerable nodules compatible with miliary dissemination of the known primary papillary thyroid cancer. No pleural or pericardial effusion. 
Heart and vascular mediastinal structures unremarkable. No hilar lymphadenopathy, mediastinal or axillary identified.

Unremarkable upper abdomen noted.
