Presentation

Cough and fever.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Innumerable tiny nodules throughout both lungs. Left apical opacity with cavity. Heart size is within normal limits.

Miliary opacities are present throughout both lungs. Focal consolidation in the left lower lobe. Multiple pulmonary nodules in the both lungs. Two left upper lobe cavities. Incidental azygos fissure. Mediastinal lymphadenopathy.

Case Discussion

As would be expected, the patient tested positive for Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and was started on appropriate treatment.
