Injury to right thigh about 2 months ago.

Patient Data

Age: 20
Gender: Male

Area of dense radio-opacity appearing like a 'sheath' noted on the right side adjacent to the femur.

It appears denser than bone with irregular margins and is seen to form along the long axis (parallel) to bone.

Diagnosis is made given the past history of trauma to right thigh and radiographically based on the direction of ossification ie. longitudinal
