Case contributed by Frank Gaillard
Diagnosis probable
ct

Single selected pre and post contrast CT images through the brain demonstrates a hyperdense rounded focus in the region of the cuneus/precuneus surrounded by a small amount of edema. Following contrast administration there is prominent ring enhancement with a central dot ("cyst with dot sign") characteristic of neurocysticercosis.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates typical appearances of neurocysticercosis with the cyst with dot sign.
