Neurocysticercosis - vesicular

20 year old female with convulsions.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Multiple well defined sub centimeter hyperintense lesions in both cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, including the bilateral ganglio-thalamic region.  Internal eccentric scolex noted. No evidence of mass effect. Multiple other similar lesions are seen in the sclap region, both orbits and infratemporal fossae.

These findings represents disseminated intra- and extracranial neurocysticercosis
