Presentation

Bicyclist versus car. Headstrike, and loss of consciousness. GCS now 15, but significant amnesia

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
ct

Non-communicating hydrocephalus, with dilated lateral and third ventricle, but normal fourth ventricle. No transependymal edema. The calvarium is slightly thinned and scalloped, in keeping with a long-standing hydrocephalus.

No intra or extra axial hemorrhage. No evidence of acute ischemia. The basal cisterns are normal. No calvarial or base of skull fracture.
