Ocular rupture and vitreous hemorrhage

The left eye anterior chamber, uveo-scleral layer, and lens tear with pronounced vitreous hemorrhage and foci of suprachoroidal hemorrhage are seen. Bilateral proptosis is noted.The foci of thick mucosa in paranasal sinuses more in left ethmoid and maxillary sinuses are seen. Pronounced soft tissue swelling and hemorrhage in left side eyelids extended within related temporal fossa are also seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates ocular globe rupture and vitreous hemorrhage as major and catastrophic complications of ocular trauma. Vitreous and choroidal damage have unfavorable prognosis and surgical outcomes.
