Barium swallow demonstrates a delicate circumferential radiolucent ring in the upper esophagus without proximal dilatation and stasis or distal jet effect.
A sliding hiatal hernia is observed.

Features on barium images are suggestive of esophageal web, an esophageal constriction caused by a thin mucosal membrane projecting into the lumen.
