Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

Chest

Large opacity in the left breast with peripheral calcification (frontal, lateral).

Case Discussion

Trauma may lead to fat necrosis, which may lead to an oil cyst. The patient had a history of alcohol abuse, liver cirrhosis, drug abuse, and renal failure. The patient did not give a history of breast trauma but was probably not asked either since the patient had many other medical problems that landed her in the ICU. So finding a remote history of breast trauma was probably low on the list of things to do.
