Incidental os peroneum is noted that should not be mistaken for an apophysis or avulsion fracture of the base of the fifth metatarsal.

Case Discussion

An os peroneum is a small accessory bone located just proximal to the base of the 5thmetatarsal and located within the substance of peroneus longus tendon as it arches around the cuboid.
