Osteochondral defect with intra-articular loose bodies

Case contributed by A.Prof Frank Gaillard

A large osteochondral defect is present involving the articular surface of the medial femoral condyle with fragments seen within the joint.

Case Discussion

Typical appearances of an osteochondral defect. In such cases a careful search for the the loose fragment should be undertaken, cognisant that there may be multiple fragments (as in this case).
