Left thigh lump. Hard in nature.

Patient Data

Age: 16 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Well defined exostosis arising from the medial aspect of the femoral metaphyses directed away from the joint.

The knee joint is normal in appearance.

Case Discussion

Typical appearances of a solitary osteochondroma at the commonest site in the distal femur.

Osteochodromas typically 'grow' away from the joint.
