Age: 10 months
Gender: Female

Osteopaenic, gracile bones with zebra stripes. Evidence of prior right femoral fracture. 

Zebra stripes from cyclical bisphosphonate therapy.

Lateral x-ray of the skull shows wormian bones.

Case Discussion

Baby girl with type II osteogenesis imperfecta, treated with cyclical bisphosphonate therapy (pamidronate) resulting in the "zebra stripe sign". Also note the wormian bones on the skull x-ray.
