Osteoid osteoma (femoral)

Right thigh pain for several months. No fever.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

Right distal femoral diaphyseal tiny lucent lesion (nidus with central region of mineralization) surrounded by extensive sclerosis and benign appearing periosteal reaction. No cortical destruction or extraosseous soft tissue extension.

Case Discussion

The case demonstrates typical features of osteoid osteoma.
