Case Discussion

Ovarian fibromas are benign ovarian tumors of sex cord / stromal origin. Although fibromas account for ~4% of all ovarian neoplasms, they are the most common sex cord ovarian tumor. In about 1%, these benign tumors may lead to the Meigs syndrome. MRI findings were suggestive of ovarian fibroma and this was followed by excisional biopsy of the right adnexa mass and histopathology which confirmed the diagnosis.
