Presentation

Pelvic discomfort.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

There is a multilocular thin walled septated ovarian cystic mass.

Sagittal T2WI MR through the pelvis demonstrates a multilocular cystic mass with areas of low signal intensity in the posterior solid component in the ovary. Post-contrast images demonstrate enhancement of the solid components of the cystic mass.

Case Discussion

Given its size, solid components, and enhancement characteristics, surgical excision was recommended.
