Ovarian serous cystadenoma

Presentation

Abdominopelvic pain and distension.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
ct

A 250×118×225 mm unilocular cystic lesion is present at pelvis that extends superiorly until the level of kidneys. No enhancing solid component is noted within. The cyst seems to originated from the right ovary.

A little amount free fluid is present at posterior cul-de-sac. 

Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.

Case Discussion

Pathology proven ovarian serous cystadenoma which is a type of benign ovarian epithelial tumor at the benign end of the spectrum of ovarian serous tumors.
