Presentation

Abdominal pain, chronic pancreatitis

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
X-ray

Curvilinear calcification projects over the left upper quadrant. 

Ultrasound

Cystic mass in the pancreatic tail with internal septations. 

Hypodense encapsulated pancreatic tail mass with few septations inferiorly and wall calcification inferiorly. 

MRI

T1 hypointense / T2 hyperintense encapsulated pancreatic tail mass with few septations inferiorly and intrinsic T1 hyperintensity inferiorly in keeping with previously demonstrated wall calcification. Mild pancreatic duct dilatation distal to the mass.
